CHALLENGE RULES

  • Registration and Participation
    - All participants must register on CobbledClimbs.com and join the Cobbled Climbs Strava Club to be eligible for the challenge.
    - Only one Strava account per participant is allowed. Using multiple accounts or combining data from different accounts will result in disqualification.
  • Challenge Duration
    - The challenge runs from 2nd September 2024 to 29th September 2024. Only rides completed within this period will be considered.
  • Minimum Distance Requirement
    - Participants must ride a minimum of 1000 kilometers during the challenge period to qualify for the prize.
  • Ride Tracking and Verification
     - All rides must be tracked using Strava. Ensure that your rides are set to “public” to be visible for verification.
      - No virtual rides (e.g., Zwift) or manually entered rides will be counted. Only GPS-tracked outdoor rides are eligible.
     - Participants are prohibited from pausing and resuming rides to artificially extend the distance. Rides should be continuous and reflect actual cycling activity.
  • Minimum Ride Distance and Duration
    - Each individual ride must be a minimum of 10 kilometers in distance and 30 minutes in duration to qualify. This prevents multiple short, non-qualifying rides from being counted.
  • No Motor-Assisted Rides
    - E-bikes or any form of motor-assisted riding are strictly prohibited. Only rides powered by the participant’s physical effort will be counted.
  • GPS Integrity and Ride Data
      - Strava’s GPS integrity will be closely monitored. Any suspicious ride data, such as irregular speed patterns, abnormally straight lines, or inconsistent GPS tracking, will be flagged and investigated.
    - Participants are prohibited from manually editing their ride data on Strava. Any ride data that has been altered will be disqualified.
  • Leaderboard Updates
    - The leaderboard will be updated every Monday on CobbledClimbs.com, showcasing the top 20 riders based on total distance covered.
  • Tie-Breaking Criteria
    - In case of a tie (two or more participants covering the same distance), additional criteria will be used to determine the winner:
    - Total elevation gain during the challenge period.
    - Total number of rides completed during the challenge period.
    - Consistency in ride frequency (e.g., more frequent rides will be favored).
  • Reporting and Disqualification
      - Participants are encouraged to report any suspicious activity or potential cheating. All reports will be investigated, and appropriate action will be taken.
    - Any participant found to be in violation of the challenge rules will be immediately disqualified. Cobbled Climbs reserves the right to disqualify participants without prior notice.
  • Final Results
    - The final results and the winner of the challenge will be announced on 1st October 2024 on CobbledClimbs.com and our social media channels.
  • Spirit of the Challenge
    - The Cobbled Climbs Challenge is about community, sportsmanship, and personal achievement. Participants are expected to maintain a positive attitude and respect fellow riders throughout the event.
