How to mount Absolute Black Oval narrow-wide chainring:

There is a small mark (triangle-shaped) on the inner circumference of the chainring. This mark Must sit behind the crank arm. The mounting procedure is identical for SLX and XT cranks. Use the stock 1X Shimano M8 chainring bolts that come with crank and Torque them to about 7Nm.

Important - if you are converting from a 2X chainring setup to 1X and wish to mount a 30T absoluteBLACK ring you need to purchase 1X bolts from Shimano for this crank because 2X bolts are too short. Other chainring sizes can use Shimano 2X bolts.

• Compatibility: Fits Shimano XT M8000, SLX M7000, and MT700 cranksets 1X and 2X only. 9, 10, 11, and 12spd Eagle compatible. Boost and non-boost.

• Material: CNC machined 7075 Txxx Aluminum. Long-lasting construction. Type II anodizing

• Chainline: Perfect 49mm

• Mounting Holes: 4 x 96mm BCD Asymmetrical design. Use stock bolts.

• Ovality: Optimized to each size separately. Range: 10.2-14.4% and Timing of 110.5-116.3° after TDC (top dead center) Patent Pending

• Chain Options: 10, 11, or 12spd chain for geared bike or 6-8 spd one for SS (1/8" also fits).

• Chainguide needed: No. But if you want one then the chain guide should have 2 teeth more capacity than the nominal oval ring size.

Important - When mounting 30T chainring make sure your bolts have min 11mm long thread (original Shimano 1x bolts) . Other chainring sizes can be mounted with 8mm long bolt thread.

If you wish to check for frame clearance with the new oval ring, below you can find the measurement of the biggest dimension of the oval (tip to tip of tooth):

• 30T: 134mm ; 32T: 143mm ; 34T: 151mm
