105 R7000 11 Speed Rear Derailleur

The Shimano 105 R7000 11-speed rear derailleur brings road-racing precision to everyday riding. Whether you're grinding Lonavala climbs on weekends, commuting through Chennai's humid streets, or logging base miles on Pune's ring roads, this derailleur delivers crisp, confident shifts that hold up across India's demanding conditions and varied road surfaces.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

At Rs. 4,630, the 105 R7000 sits at the sweet spot between accessibility and performance. Shimano's Shadow technology keeps the derailleur body stable over rough tarmac — a genuine advantage on Indian roads where surface quality can change mid-ride. The mechanical shifting feel is direct and predictable, and the build quality means longer service intervals even through monsoon season. For riders in Pune, Delhi, or Hyderabad logging serious kilometres, this is a dependable, well-priced upgrade.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is an 11-speed component — confirm your existing shifters, cassette, and chain are also 11-speed before ordering. It is road-specific and designed for mechanical shifting only. Indian riders upgrading from older 10-speed groupsets will need to replace the full drivetrain. In high-heat conditions above 35°C, cable stretch can increase; budget for fresh inner cables and housing at installation.

Compatibility Notes

Compatible with Shimano 11-speed road groupsets including 105 R7000, Ultegra R8000, and Tiagra (with appropriate cabling). Works with both rim-brake and disc-brake frame configurations. Not compatible with electronic (Di2) shifters or 10/12-speed systems. Use Shimano-spec inner cable and housing for best shift response. Clean and lubricate the derailleur pivot points regularly, especially post-monsoon.

Pairs Well With

Complete your drivetrain with a matching 11-speed cassette and chain, quality wet-condition chain lubricant for monsoon riding, a chain wear indicator tool for monitoring stretch, and fresh Shimano inner cables and compressionless housing for precise mechanical shifting year-round.
