2x Sport Shift Kit

The Jagwire 2x Sport Shift Kit is a complete cable and housing solution designed for riders who demand precise, consistent gear changes. Whether you're navigating Pune's city traffic, grinding up the Western Ghats, or tackling the switchbacks above Ooty, reliable shifting is non-negotiable. This kit gives you everything needed to restore or upgrade your drivetrain's performance in one purchase.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

India's roads demand a lot from shift cables — monsoon moisture corrodes unprotected inners, summer heat above 35°C softens cheap housing, and the constant stop-start of Delhi or Hyderabad city riding accelerates cable stretch. The Jagwire 2x Sport Shift Kit addresses all of this with quality housing and inner cables that maintain crisp, accurate indexing across conditions that would quickly degrade budget alternatives. A genuinely worthwhile upgrade for any serious rider.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This kit supplies cable and housing for a full 2x drivetrain — both front and rear shifting. No European versus Indian sizing applies here, but do confirm compatibility with your shifter and derailleur brand before ordering. Riders in humid coastal cities like Chennai or Mumbai should consider routing cables to minimise exposed housing ends where moisture and road grit typically cause the fastest wear.

Compatibility Notes

The Jagwire 2x Sport Shift Kit is designed for use with most standard indexed shifting systems. Confirm that the cable end type matches your shifter — road and MTB shifters differ. Housing should be cut cleanly with a dedicated cable cutter and end-caps fitted at every cut to prevent fraying. Replace cables and housing together for best results.

Pairs Well With

For a complete drivetrain refresh, consider pairing this shift kit with a quality chain, brake cable and housing set, derailleur limit screw and barrel adjuster tools, and cable end crimps. Stocking a spare kit is smart for riders who train through the monsoon season.
