5mm Fgsp 30m Volume Box

Brake cable housing is one of those components that quietly determines how your brakes actually feel. The Alligator 5mm FGSP 30m Volume Box gives you a full spool of fibre-glass-reinforced housing designed for consistent compression resistance, smooth cable pull, and reliable performance across the range of conditions Indian roads throw at you — from the humidity of Chennai to Lonavala's wet Ghat descents. Cobbled Climbs is the exclusive Indian distributor for Campagnolo in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

For Indian riders who cover real distances in serious heat and monsoon conditions, cable housing quality matters far more than most give it credit for. Alligator's FGSP construction resists compression under hard braking — exactly what you need when descending Khandala or stopping fast in Pune's chaotic traffic. A 30m volume box is ideal for shops, home mechanics, or riders building up multiple bikes, offering excellent value per metre at this price point.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is a 5mm outer diameter housing — the standard for brake cables on road and mountain bikes. It works with both rim-brake and mechanical disc-brake setups. Cut lengths to suit your frame size and routing; longer runs may be needed for larger frames or full-cable-routing frames common on modern Indian-market road bikes. Use a sharp cable cutter to avoid fraying the fibre-glass liner.

Compatibility Notes

Compatible with standard brake cable inner wires (not hydraulic hose). Works with Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo mechanical brake systems. Not suitable for hydraulic disc brake systems. Use ferrules at housing ends to prevent flaring. In high-humidity conditions — particularly during Mumbai and Kolkata monsoon months — lubricate inner cables at installation to prevent corrosion inside the housing.

Pairs Well With

Complete your brake service with stainless steel inner brake cables, end caps and ferrule sets, a quality cable cutter, and bar tape if you're doing a full cockpit refresh. Cable-end crimps are also worth stocking if you're working through a full spool.
