765 Optimum 2 DISC Brake Framekit

The Look 765 Optimum 2 DISC Brake Framekit is a serious carbon road frame built for riders who know exactly what they want from a build. Engineered for disc-brake performance, it balances stiffness and compliance in a package suited to everything from Pune's Sinhagad climbs to long endurance rides through Coorg and Ooty.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

Look's French engineering heritage shows in the 765 Optimum 2's geometry — this is a frame that rewards deliberate builds. For Indian riders navigating 35°C+ summer heat, monsoon downpours on Ghat descents, and the unpredictable tarmac between Lonavala and Khandala, disc brakes aren't a luxury — they're the right call. The carbon construction keeps things light without sacrificing the compliance you need over long kilometres.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Look sizing follows European conventions using seat tube length. Indian riders tend to run slightly shorter torso proportions relative to inseam — if you're between sizes, try the smaller size first for a sportier position, or the larger for endurance comfort. In India's heat, a more upright fit also aids breathing during hard climbs. A professional bike fit is strongly recommended before committing.

Compatibility Notes

Confirm your bottom bracket standard (BSA, PF30, BB86, or T47) before speccing components. The 765 Optimum 2 uses flat-mount disc brake standards. Verify headset spec, seatpost diameter, and maximum tyre clearance. Compatible with modern road groupsets from Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo. Contact Cobbled Climbs for build consultation and component pairing guidance.

Pairs Well With

Complete this build with a quality road groupset, a matching carbon wheelset suited to disc brakes, a lightweight carbon cockpit, and high-volume road tyres for Indian road surfaces. Add a precision seatpost and saddle for a fully dialled setup ready for any Indian climb.
