765 Optimum DISC Brake Frameset

The Look 765 Optimum Disc Brake Frameset is a carbon road frame built for riders who want a meaningful performance upgrade without compromising on long-ride comfort. Balancing stiffness where it counts and compliance where it matters, the 765 Optimum is the kind of frame that rewards disciplined building choices — groupset, wheels, and cockpit all chosen with intent.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

The Look 765 Optimum sits in a compelling position: not a dedicated race weapon, but far from casual. For Indian riders tackling the Western Ghats above Lonavala, the punishing summer tarmac outside Pune, or long weekend rides through the Nilgiris toward Ooty, the disc brake specification is genuinely useful. In monsoon conditions and on descents where confidence matters, hydraulic disc control is hard to argue against. A well-considered carbon frame at this level is a multi-year commitment worth making.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Look frames follow European sizing conventions based on seat tube length. Indian riders tend to have shorter torsos relative to leg length compared to European averages, which can affect reach. Use Look's geometry chart with your stack and reach measurements rather than height alone. If you are between sizes, size down for an aggressive fit; size up if you prioritise all-day comfort on long Deccan Plateau rides. A professional bike fit is strongly recommended before ordering.

Compatibility Notes

Before building, confirm the bottom bracket standard, headset diameter, seatpost diameter, and flat-mount disc brake fitment. Tyre clearance should be verified — Indian roads reward wider tyre choices for additional compliance. Consult the Look 765 Optimum geometry sheet or contact Cobbled Climbs for build guidance before purchasing components separately.

Pairs Well With

Complete your build with a quality hydraulic disc groupset (Shimano 105 Di2 or Ultegra Di2 are strong choices), a carbon wheelset suited to disc hubs, a carbon cockpit for weight and compliance benefits, and performance road tyres in a width that suits your riding terrain and tyre clearance.
