Abec 3 Bb90 Bottom Bracket Kit

The Enduro ABEC 3 BB90 Bottom Bracket Kit is a precision bearing replacement solution for riders running Trek's BB90 press-fit standard. Whether you're tackling the switchbacks above Lonavala or grinding through Chennai's humid coastal air, a well-serviced bottom bracket is the foundation of an efficient drivetrain. This kit brings workshop-grade bearing quality to your home bench.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable construction for repeat use.

Race day. Lightweight, stiff design for power transfer and aerodynamics.

Fit adjustment. Right stem length critical for comfortable bike fit.

Our Take

India's roads punish bottom brackets harder than most — monsoon water ingress, red laterite dust from Coorg descents, and the relentless heat radiating off Pune tarmac all accelerate bearing wear. The ABEC 3 specification gives you a meaningful step up in precision and longevity over stock bearings. For riders who want to service their own bikes and reduce workshop visits, this kit is a smart, cost-effective investment at Rs. 2,199.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This kit is specific to the BB90 bottom bracket standard used in certain Trek frames — not a universal fit. Before ordering, confirm your frame uses BB90 press-fit shells. There is no body sizing consideration here, but crank spindle diameter compatibility is critical. If you are unsure whether your Trek frame uses BB90, check your frame's spec sheet or contact Cobbled Climbs for confirmation before purchasing.

Compatibility Notes

Designed specifically for Trek BB90 press-fit frames. Compatible with standard crank spindle diameters used in BB90 applications. Requires a bearing press tool for correct installation — do not hammer bearings in by hand. Clean the shell thoroughly before installation. Store away from moisture between uses to maintain bearing integrity.
