Accessory Hub Centerlock Locking Ring

The Zipp Accessory Hub Centerlock Locking Ring is a precision small part that secures your Centerlock disc Rotor firmly to your hub. It is a compact but critical component — a loose or incorrectly torqued locking ring can compromise rotor alignment and braking consistency. For Indian riders dealing with dusty climbs around Pune, wet Ghat descents, or stop-start Bengaluru traffic, getting this fitment right matters.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

Zipp builds this locking ring to the same tolerances expected of their wheelsets and hubs. If you are running a Centerlock rotor setup and your existing ring is worn, cross-threaded, or missing, this is the correct OEM-specification replacement. For Indian conditions — heat above 35°C, monsoon grime, and the vibration of roads around Hyderabad or Delhi — a properly torqued Centerlock ring keeps your rotor tracking true and your braking predictable.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This locking ring is specific to Centerlock hub interfaces — it is not compatible with 6-bolt rotor mounts. Confirm your hub uses the Centerlock standard before ordering. Fitment requires a Centerlock-compatible cassette lockring tool. Torque to manufacturer specification; under-torquing is a common installation error in warm workshop conditions where metal expands slightly.

Compatibility Notes

Designed for use with Centerlock-standard hubs only. Works with both road and MTB Centerlock rotors. Installation requires a standard Centerlock / cassette lockring removal tool and a torque wrench. Not compatible with 6-bolt disc hubs. Check your wheel and hub documentation to confirm the Centerlock interface before fitting.

Pairs Well With

Complete your disc brake setup with a compatible Centerlock disc rotor, a quality torque wrench for correct installation, disc brake pads matched to your rotor compound, and a cassette lockring tool if you do not already own one.
