Aeroshade XL Sunglasses

Indian roads test eyewear hard — intense sun on Pune's Sinhagad climbs, gritty dust on Delhi's ring roads, and sudden light drops inside Ghat tunnels all demand serious lens performance. The Scicon Aeroshade XL Sunglasses is built for exactly this kind of riding, with a wide-coverage rectangular frame and synthetic construction suited to long hours in the saddle under demanding conditions. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Time in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Protective eyewear for sun, dust, and insect protection on Indian roads.

Race day. Wide-coverage frames with race-tuned lenses for visibility and aerodynamic fit.

Variable conditions. Photochromic or interchangeable lenses for varied light through Ghat tunnels and dawn-to-day rides.

Our Take

The Aeroshade XL earns its place for riders who spend real time outdoors. The extended lens coverage works particularly well on exposed climbs around Lonavala and Ooty, where sun angle shifts constantly and wind-driven dust is relentless. For Chennai and Hyderabad riders dealing with heat above 35°C, the frame's ventilation matters as much as the optics. At Rs. 14,000, this is serious eyewear for riders who treat protection as non-negotiable.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Scicon designs the Aeroshade XL as a one-size-fits-most adult frame, but the XL designation means this frame runs large. Riders with narrower or smaller faces common among Indian cyclists should check frame width carefully. Adjustable nose pads and temple tips help fine-tune fit. In high-humidity conditions — monsoon rides in Kolkata or coastal Chennai — a secure nose pad grip prevents slipping during hard efforts.

Compatibility Notes

The Aeroshade XL is compatible with most modern cycling helmets — verify temple arm clearance with your specific model, particularly helmets with integrated visor systems. Frame materials are synthetic and plastic. Non-polarised lenses are bike-computer friendly. Clean lenses exclusively with a microfibre cloth and dedicated lens cleaner; avoid paper towels and chemical sprays that degrade coatings.

Pairs Well With

Complete your kit with a well-ventilated road cycling helmet that offers clean temple arm clearance, a cycling cap for sweat management on long Ghat climbs, a microfibre lens cloth for post-ride care, and a breathable summer cycling jersey suited to 35°C+ conditions. Free delivery on orders above Rs. 2,500 and cash on delivery available across India.
