Description

The Jamis Allegro A1 is a hybrid bicycle built for riders who want one bike that handles the daily commute, weekend rides, and everything between. Riding on an aluminium frame with Shimano Tourney gearing, it covers Indian city roads, canal paths, and the occasional weekend escape with equal composure. At Rs. 69,990, it is a serious commitment to cycling.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

For Indian hybrid riders, the Allegro A1 hits a practical sweet spot. The aluminium frame keeps weight manageable in Pune's rolling terrain and Hyderabad's flat expressways alike, while Shimano Tourney gearing gives enough range for confident riding without overwhelming beginners. Heavy-duty brakes inspire trust on potholed city roads and during the wet months when Mumbai and Chennai roads become unpredictable. A dependable, no-fuss platform for riders getting serious about cycling.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Jamis sizing follows seat tube length or S/M/L conventions — measure your inseam and height before ordering. Indian riders tend to have shorter torsos relative to leg length, so pay attention to reach as well as standover. Between sizes? Choose the smaller size for a sportier position, larger for comfort touring. A professional bike fit after delivery makes a genuine difference.

Compatibility Notes

The Allegro A1 ships as a complete, ready-to-ride bicycle. Pedals are not included — select a pair compatible with your preferred shoe system (flat, SPD, or SPD-SL). The Tourney groupset is compatible with standard 7-speed cassettes and chains. First service is recommended after the initial 100 km to check cable tension and bolt torques.

Pairs Well With

Complete your Allegro A1 setup with a quality helmet for daily safety, ergonomic handlebar grips or a padded hybrid saddle for long-distance comfort, flat or clipless pedals matched to your footwear, and a durable rear rack or pannier system for commuting across Bengaluru, Delhi, or Ahmedabad.

Fitting

Jamis uses seat tube length or S/M/L sizing for the Allegro range. Measure your inseam and total height before selecting a size, then cross-reference the Jamis geometry chart. Indian riders with shorter torsos relative to leg length should pay particular attention to reach and handlebar height. When sitting between two sizes, size down for a more active riding position or size up for a relaxed, comfort-forward fit. A professional bike fit is strongly recommended after delivery.
