Astra DISC Frameset

The Basso Astra DISC Frameset is a serious carbon road frame built for riders who know exactly what they want from a build. With disc brake capability, a race-influenced geometry, and carbon construction that balances stiffness with compliance, the Astra DISC is a platform for a precise, purposeful build — not a compromise machine.

Use Cases

Race day. Aerodynamic and stiff construction for competitive efforts.

Daily training. Comfort and reliability for repeat training rides.

All-road and gravel. Versatile geometry for road, gravel, and all-road exploration in India.

Our Take

The Astra DISC earns its place in any discerning rider's garage. For Indian conditions — punishing summer heat above 35°C on Pune's Sinhagad climbs, the technical descents of Khandala, or monsoon training runs around Hyderabad — a disc brake carbon frame is not a luxury but a practical choice. The geometry rewards committed riding without punishing long days in the saddle. A frame worth building right.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Basso sizes using seat tube length or S/M/L conventions. Indian riders tend to have longer inseams relative to torso length — factor this when reading European geometry charts. In heat above 35°C, a slightly more upright position reduces fatigue on long rides. Get a professional bike fit before ordering; frame size cannot be corrected post-purchase.

Compatibility Notes

Confirm bottom bracket standard (BSA, PF30, BB86, or T47), headset specification, seatpost diameter, and flat-mount disc brake compatibility before ordering components. Tyre clearance should be verified for your intended wheel and tyre combination. Contact the Cobbled Climbs build team for component pairing guidance specific to this frame.

Pairs Well With

Complete this build with a quality road groupset (mechanical or electronic), a carbon wheelset suited to disc brakes, a carbon cockpit matched to your fit, and a durable road tyre with sufficient clearance for Indian road surfaces. Cobbled Climbs stocks all categories needed to finish this build.
