B05s-rx Resin DISC Brake Pad

Indian riding throws everything at your brakes — monsoon-soaked descents through the Western Ghats, stop-start Chennai and Delhi traffic, and long Ghat runs where heat builds fast. The Shimano B05s-rx Resin Disc Brake Pad is engineered to handle all of it, offering consistent modulation and reliable stopping power where it counts most.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

At Rs. 550, the B05s-rx is one of the most practical upgrades a disc-brake rider in India can make. The resin compound excels in wet conditions — ideal for Pune-Lonavala rides during monsoon or steep Ooty descents where sustained braking is unavoidable. Resin pads run quieter than metal-sintered alternatives and are gentler on rotors during everyday training, making them a smart choice for riders logging regular kilometres on Indian roads.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is a pad fitment question, not a size question — but getting it right matters. Confirm your Shimano caliper accepts the B05s-rx pad shape before ordering. The resin compound suits most alloy and steel rotors used on road and entry-to-mid mountain bikes. Riders in high-heat cities like Hyderabad or Ahmedabad should inspect pads more frequently, as sustained 35°C+ temperatures and heavy traffic braking accelerate compound wear.

Compatibility Notes

The B05s-rx is designed for specific Shimano disc brake calipers — verify your caliper model accepts this pad format before purchasing. Resin compound pads require clean, uncontaminated rotors; avoid contact with chain lube or brake fluid. Do not mix resin pads with rotors already glazed by metallic compounds. Shimano hydraulic systems use mineral oil — never use DOT fluid.

Pairs Well With

Complete your braking setup with a compatible Shimano disc rotor in 140mm or 160mm, a Shimano mineral oil bleed kit for hydraulic systems, a rotor truing tool for post-monsoon maintenance, and a torque wrench for safe caliper reinstallation after pad changes.
