Backloader Saddle Bag

The Topeak Backloader Saddle Bag is built for cyclists who take on long-distance rides with gear in tow — from self-supported bikepacking loops through the Western Ghats to multi-day Himachal routes. Designed to mount cleanly under the saddle, it keeps essentials secure without interfering with pedalling dynamics or shifting under load on rough Indian roads. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Dynamic in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. All-day comfort across 2-3 hour training rides in Indian conditions.

Race day. Race-cut profile with cutout for time-trial and aggressive fit positions.

Long endurance rides. Pressure-relief construction for rides exceeding four hours.

Our Take

For Indian riders planning century rides from Pune to Lonavala, bikepacking weekends in Coorg, or extended Himalayan touring near Leh, a saddle bag that stays put matters. The Topeak Backloader's secure mounting and weather-resistant construction make it a reliable choice when temperatures push past 35°C or monsoon downpours arrive without warning. It strikes a practical balance between capacity and aerodynamic profile — useful without being excessive.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Saddle bags are sized by volume, not body size — but saddle width, seat post diameter, and saddle rail clearance all affect fit. On Indian bikes with longer seat posts or aero frames common in Bangalore and Delhi club scenes, verify clearance before ordering. Contact Cobbled Climbs if your setup is non-standard — our team can advise on compatibility.

Compatibility Notes

The Backloader attaches via saddle rail and seat post straps, making it broadly compatible with road, gravel, and touring bikes. Check that your saddle rails and seat post diameter are within the bag's strap range. Not recommended for carbon seat posts without protective padding. Works with standard and dropper posts; verify fit on aero seat posts.

Pairs Well With

Round out your bikepacking or long-ride kit with a handlebar roll or frame bag for additional storage, a compact multi-tool and tyre levers, a CO2 inflator or mini pump, and a waterproof stuff sack for clothing or electronics on monsoon-season rides.
