Bb90 SRAM Gxp Bottom Bracket

The CeramicSpeed BB90 SRAM GXP Bottom Bracket is built for riders who refuse to accept creaking, sluggish power transfer, or premature wear. Designed to fit Trek BB90 press-fit shells and paired specifically with SRAM GXP cranks, it uses CeramicSpeed's signature ceramic bearing technology to dramatically reduce friction and extend service life — even in India's demanding riding conditions. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Ceramic Speed in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable construction for repeat use.

Race day. Lightweight, stiff design for power transfer and aerodynamics.

Fit adjustment. Right stem length critical for comfortable bike fit.

Our Take

For riders pushing through Pune's punishing summer climbs, the ghats around Lonavala and Khandala, or grinding out long kilometres on Delhi's dusty outer ring roads, a quality bottom bracket is the last place to cut corners. The CeramicSpeed BB90 GXP keeps your SRAM drivetrain spinning with noticeably less drag than standard steel-bearing units. Fewer creaks, longer service intervals, and measurably smoother pedalling strokes make this a worthy upgrade at Rs. 28,500.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is not a sized component in the traditional sense — compatibility is what matters. Confirm your frame uses a BB90 press-fit shell (common on Trek road frames) and that your crankset is SRAM GXP. There is no European-to-Indian sizing conversion here, but do check your frame's shell diameter carefully before ordering, as BB86 and BB90 shells are frequently confused.

Compatibility Notes

Fits BB90 press-fit frame shells exclusively. Works with SRAM GXP cranks across 10-, 11-, and 12-speed groupsets including Rival, Force, and Red. Professional installation is strongly recommended — incorrect press-fit installation can damage both the bearing cups and the frame shell. Re-grease the outer cups at each service to prevent creaking in high-humidity conditions like Chennai or during monsoon riding in Mumbai.

Pairs Well With

Complete your drivetrain build by pairing this bottom bracket with a SRAM GXP-compatible crankset, a quality wet-condition chain lubricant for monsoon riding, a bottom bracket press tool (or professional fitting service), and a ceramic-compatible chain for maximum efficiency gains.
