Bx217r 10x141mm Quick Release DISC Brake Rear Hub

The Bitex Bx217r is a 10x141mm quick-release disc brake rear hub built for riders who demand precision engineering at the wheel centre. With a 6-bolt disc interface and quality internals, it suits mountain and gravel builds where reliable engagement and consistent braking performance across demanding terrain are non-negotiable requirements.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

Bitex has quietly earned a reputation for producing hubs that punch well above their price point, and the Bx217r is a strong example. For Indian riders tackling the Western Ghats, Coorg forest tracks, or the broken tarmac around Pune's outskirts, hub reliability matters enormously. The 6-bolt disc interface means straightforward rotor swaps, and the QR axle standard keeps it accessible for a wide range of existing builds.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This hub uses a 10x141mm quick-release axle standard — confirm your rear frame dropout matches before ordering. The 141mm OLD (over-locknut distance) is specific to certain MTB and gravel frames, so double-check your frame spec sheet. Cassette body compatibility must also be verified separately when building a complete wheel.

Compatibility Notes

6-bolt disc rotor standard only — not compatible with Centerlock rotors without an adapter. Axle is 10x141mm QR; verify your frame accepts this specific dropout width. Cassette body type is not specified in source data — confirm with Cobbled Climbs before ordering to ensure drivetrain compatibility.

Pairs Well With

Build this hub into a complete wheel with a quality double-wall rim, stainless steel spokes and brass nipples for durability on rough Indian roads. Add a compatible 6-bolt disc rotor, cassette, and tyre sealant if going tubeless for the full performance setup.
