Bx312 12x142mm DISC Brake Rear Hub

The Bitex Bx312 12x142mm Disc Brake Rear Hub is a precision-engineered component built for riders who demand reliable engagement and smooth rolling across varied terrain. Whether you are building a dedicated road wheelset or a gravel setup for exploring routes beyond the tarmac, this hub offers a dependable foundation at a competitive price point in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

Bitex has quietly earned respect among wheel builders for consistent quality and well-engineered internals. The Bx312, with its 12x142mm thru-axle standard and disc brake compatibility, suits Indian riding conditions well — thru-axle stiffness pays dividends on the broken roads between Pune and Lonavala, and disc brakes inspire confidence on wet descents during monsoon season. For custom wheel builders looking for reliable performance without overpaying, this hub makes a strong case.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is a rear hub, not a clothing item — but compatibility is everything. Confirm your frame accepts a 12x142mm thru-axle rear standard before ordering. Most modern disc road and gravel frames do, but older or entry-level frames may use quick-release. Also verify your cassette body type (Shimano HG, SRAM XD/XDR, or Campagnolo) to ensure the hub matches your drivetrain.

Compatibility Notes

The Bx312 is designed for 12x142mm thru-axle frames with disc brakes. Check whether your rotor uses Centerlock or 6-bolt mounting and confirm the cassette body matches your groupset. The hub is suited for road and gravel use. Clean and inspect bearings periodically, especially after riding through monsoon conditions or on dusty Deccan plateau roads.

Pairs Well With

To complete your wheel build, consider pairing this hub with a quality double-butted rim, stainless steel or alloy spokes and nipples, a compatible disc rotor, and a cassette matched to your drivetrain. A spoke tension meter and torque wrench will ensure a proper, long-lasting build.
