Sram XD 11/12S Freehub Body for MTB Hubs

Replacing a freehub body is one of the most cost-effective drivetrain upgrades you can make. The Bitex SRAM XD 11/12S Freehub Body is precision-engineered for MTB hubs, bringing wide-range cassette compatibility to your existing Bitex wheel build — a practical choice for mountain bikers riding the Western Ghats, Shillong trails, or Himalayan routes near Leh.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

For Indian MTB riders running SRAM Eagle or similar wide-range groupsets, swapping to an XD freehub body accesses the full cassette range your drivetrain was designed for. On steep, technical climbs — think Coorg forest tracks or the boulder-strewn descents above Manali — that low gear access genuinely changes how you ride. Bitex's precision machining ensures the engagement feel stays crisp even after monsoon-season abuse on muddy trails.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This freehub body is designed for SRAM XD 11-speed and 12-speed cassettes — confirm your cassette standard before ordering. It is not compatible with Shimano HG or MicroSpline cassettes. Verify your Bitex hub model accepts this freehub body by checking the hub shell interface. Heat and dust from Indian summers have no bearing on fitment, but ensure the threads are greased on installation.

Compatibility Notes

Compatible with SRAM XD-standard 11-speed and 12-speed cassettes including Eagle groupsets. Designed specifically for Bitex MTB hub shells — verify your hub model before ordering. Not compatible with Shimano HG, HG+ MicroSpline, or Campagnolo cassettes. Use an appropriate freehub grease on installation and check for play periodically if riding in wet or muddy conditions common during Indian monsoon months.

Pairs Well With

Complete your drivetrain with a SRAM Eagle cassette, quality chain lube suited for Indian dust and monsoon conditions, a cassette lockring tool, and a freehub grease or anti-seize compound for installation. A torque wrench is recommended for correct lockring torque.
