Boost Magnetic Wheel-on Bicycle Trainer

When Indian monsoon shuts down roads and summer temperatures cross 35°C, indoor training keeps fitness on track. The Tacx Boost Magnetic Wheel-on Bicycle Trainer brings structured, resistance-based training into your home, working with your existing wheel and bike setup — a practical choice for riders in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Chennai who cannot afford weeks off the bike.

Use Cases

Daily training. Durable rim and reliable hub bearings for repeat training use.

Race day. Aerodynamic depth and weight-optimised construction for competitive efforts.

All-rounder. Versatile depth and width for road, gravel, or all-road riding.

Our Take

The Tacx Boost is a straightforward, magnetic wheel-on trainer well-suited to Indian apartment living. It uses your existing rear wheel, so there is no need to buy a separate cassette. The magnetic resistance mechanism keeps noise at a reasonable level — important for shared-wall apartments in Indian metros. For riders in Pune or Bangalore building base fitness through monsoon, this trainer offers a reliable, fuss-free solution at an accessible price point for the category.

Sizing for Indian Riders

The Tacx Boost is a trainer, not a garment, but bike fit still matters. It accommodates most standard road and MTB axle configurations — confirm your rear axle spacing and quick-release compatibility before ordering. Riders in India typically run standard quick-release setups, but verify if your bike uses thru-axle, as that would require an adapter or different trainer model.

Compatibility Notes

The Boost is a wheel-on trainer, meaning it works with your existing rear wheel and cassette — no separate cassette purchase needed. It connects via magnetic resistance rather than electronic control, so it is not a smart trainer and does not send power data directly to apps. Pair it with a separate speed or power sensor for app connectivity. Compatible with quick-release axles; verify tyre size fit before ordering.

Pairs Well With

Complete your indoor training station with a dedicated trainer tyre to reduce wear and noise, a training mat to protect floors and absorb vibration, a sweat guard to shield your frame and headset from corrosion, and a high-flow desk or floor fan to manage heat during long sessions.
