Bottom Bracket Wave Washer Kit for Shimano Bb30

The SRAM Bottom Bracket Wave Washer Kit for Shimano BB30 is a precision small-part solution for riders running BB30 bottom bracket standards with Shimano cranksets. India's varied road surfaces — from Pune's smooth expressways to Delhi's patchy tarmac and Lonavala's monsoon-worn climbs — put real stress on drivetrain interfaces, making correct bottom bracket preload and noise-free installation genuinely important. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Look in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable construction for repeat use.

Race day. Lightweight, stiff design for power transfer and aerodynamics.

Fit adjustment. Right stem length critical for comfortable bike fit.

Our Take

BB30 installations with Shimano cranks are notorious for creaking, especially after Mumbai or Chennai monsoon seasons when moisture finds its way into every interface. This wave washer kit addresses axial play at the source, providing the correct preload to keep things quiet and correctly loaded. It is an inexpensive fix that saves you from a frustrating creak diagnosis down the road — selected for Indian conditions where heat cycling and humidity accelerate bearing wear.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is a mechanical hardware kit, not a sized apparel item. However, confirm your frame's bottom bracket shell standard is BB30 before ordering — BB30, PF30, and BBRight look similar but are not interchangeable. If you are unsure about your frame's shell standard, contact Cobbled Climbs before purchasing. Our team can verify compatibility based on your frame brand and model.

Compatibility Notes

Designed for BB30 shell frames using Shimano cranks with a 24mm spindle. Works with SRAM's BB30 bottom bracket conversion system. Not compatible with native BB30 cranks or other spindle diameters. Clean the shell thoroughly before installation — debris and moisture in Indian riding conditions can compromise preload over time. Reapply as part of regular bearing service.

Pairs Well With

Round out your drivetrain service kit with a compatible SRAM or Shimano bottom bracket, a quality bearing press tool, anti-corrosion grease or assembly compound suitable for humid Indian conditions, and chain lubricant for post-service drivetrain care.
