Brake DISC Hk-vx023-diy+ Organic Pad

Organic brake pads are the everyday workhorse of disc braking — offering smooth modulation, quiet operation, and forgiving feel that suits the unpredictable rhythm of Indian roads. The Alligator HK-VX023-DIY+ Organic Pad is designed for riders who want consistent, controlled stopping power whether they're threading through Pune traffic or hauling speed off a Lonavala descent.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

For Indian riding conditions — monsoon-slicked roads, the sustained heat of Western Ghats descents, and the stop-start grind of city commuting — organic compound pads offer a compelling balance of modulation and quietness. They won't last as long as sintered pads in heavy wet use, but the progressive, confidence-inspiring bite suits riders in Chennai, Hyderabad, and Coorg who want feel over brute force. At Rs. 560, this is an easy, low-risk upgrade.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Brake pad fit is about caliper compatibility, not body size. Confirm your caliper model before ordering — pad shape varies by manufacturer and generation. The HK-VX023 format fits specific Shimano-compatible calipers; cross-check your caliper code. If you ride in 35°C+ heat, be aware that organic pads can fade slightly under prolonged thermal load — sintered may suit aggressive Ghat riders better.

Compatibility Notes

These pads are organic compound and suited to standard alloy or steel rotors — do not use on carbon rims. Confirm caliper compatibility using the HK-VX023 pad code against your brake model. Organic pads wear faster in wet and gritty monsoon conditions; inspect pad thickness monthly during June–September. Rotor surface should be clean and free of oil contamination before installation.

Pairs Well With

Complete your braking system with a compatible disc brake rotor in your required diameter, a quality torque wrench for safe caliper installation, isopropyl alcohol for rotor degreasing, and a set of brake cables or hydraulic bleed kit depending on your system type.
