Brake DISC Hk-vx060-diy+ Organic Pad

Monsoon downpours, steep Ghat descents, and the stop-start grind of Indian city traffic demand brake pads that perform consistently under pressure. The Alligator HK-VX060-DIY+ Organic Disc Brake Pad is a straightforward, affordable upgrade that restores confident stopping power to your disc brake setup without stretching your maintenance budget.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

At Rs. 590, this organic compound pad from Alligator is a sensible choice for Indian riders facing wet monsoon roads and long Lonavala or Ooty descents. Organic pads offer progressive, controllable modulation — particularly valuable when braking on loose or damp surfaces. They run quieter than sintered alternatives and are gentler on rotors, making them a practical everyday option for commuters in Pune, Hyderabad, and Chennai alike.

Sizing for Indian Riders

These pads are caliper-specific — the HK-VX060 designation identifies the compatible brake caliper model. Before ordering, check your brake caliper brand and model number, typically stamped on the caliper body. Indian riding in 35°C+ heat can accelerate pad wear, so inspect compound thickness monthly if you ride daily or tackle sustained descents regularly.

Compatibility Notes

Compatible with the specific caliper model identified by the HK-VX060 reference — verify your caliper model before purchase. Organic compound pads work with standard steel rotors. Avoid contaminating pads with oil or chain lube during installation. Replace pads as a pair and bed them in with progressive stops before hard braking.

Pairs Well With

Round out your braking system with a compatible disc rotor matched to your wheel size, a quality torque wrench for safe caliper installation, rotor truing tools for eliminating brake rub, and a set of disposable gloves to keep pads contaminant-free during fitting.
