Cable Plier

Clean cable pulls and crisp gear shifts depend on one overlooked step: properly tensioned, cleanly cut cables. The IceToolz Cable Plier is a dedicated workshop and home-mechanic tool built to make cable installation straightforward — whether you're setting up a new build in Pune, refreshing worn brake cables before a Lonavala climb, or re-cabling a commuter bike in Chennai's humid coastal conditions. Cobbled Climbs is the exclusive Indian distributor for Campagnolo in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

Cable work is one of those jobs that rewards using the right tool. A dedicated cable plier allows you to tension inner cables with genuine control before clamping, giving you consistent results across Shimano, SRAM, or Campagnolo setups. For Indian riders who service their own bikes between monsoon seasons — when cables corrode faster — this tool pays for itself quickly at Rs. 1,190. Precise, purposeful, and well worth bench space.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is a hand tool, not a sized product. The cable plier suits most adult hand sizes without adjustment. Riders in warmer cities like Hyderabad or Ahmedabad who wrench in high-heat workshops will appreciate the grip design for sweaty hands. No sizing chart needed — order with confidence regardless of hand size.

Compatibility Notes

Compatible with standard inner cable diameters used across road and mountain drivetrains and brake systems. Works with Shimano, SRAM, Campagnolo, and generic cable sets. Suitable for use with both stainless and galvanised inner cables. Not cable-type specific — functions equally well for brake and derailleur cables. Store away from moisture to prevent tool corrosion during monsoon storage.

Pairs Well With

Complete your cable servicing kit with inner and outer cable sets, cable end caps, cable ferrules, and a quality cable cutter. A workshop mat and bike repair stand make the job easier. Browse all cable tools and workshop essentials at Cobbled Climbs for a complete home-mechanic setup.
