Description
Drivetrain efficiency is often overlooked, but pulley wheels are one of the most effective mechanical upgrades a road cyclist can make. The Nova Ride Carbon Ceramic Derailleur Pulley is precision-engineered for Shimano Dura-Ace RD-9100/9150 and Ultegra RD-8000/8050 groupsets, offering measurably smoother power transfer on every pedal stroke — whether you're grinding up the Western Ghats or sprinting on Pune's expressways.
Use Cases
Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.
Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.
Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.
Our Take
In India's heat, where temperatures regularly exceed 35°C in cities like Hyderabad, Chennai, and Delhi, drivetrain friction accumulates fast. Nova Ride's carbon ceramic pulley wheels address this directly — ceramic bearings run cooler and require less maintenance than standard steel alternatives. For riders putting in serious kilometres on Indian roads, from Leh descents to Coorg climbs, this is a precision component that earns its price tag through consistent, low-friction performance.
Sizing for Indian Riders
This product fits Shimano Dura-Ace RD-9100/9150 and Ultegra RD-8000/8050 rear derailleurs specifically — confirm your exact derailleur model before ordering. No European sizing conversion applies here. Indian riders in high-humidity coastal cities like Mumbai and Chennai should note that ceramic bearings resist corrosion better than standard alternatives, which is a genuine advantage during monsoon months.
Compatibility Notes
Designed exclusively for Shimano Dura-Ace RD-9100/9150 and Ultegra RD-8000/8050 rear derailleurs. Not compatible with other groupset generations or brands. Available in Black, Blue, and Orange colour options. Regular cleaning after monsoon riding and dusty conditions is recommended to maintain ceramic bearing performance and longevity.
Pairs Well With
Complete your drivetrain upgrade with a quality chain (Shimano Dura-Ace or Ultegra grade), ceramic-compatible chain lubricant suited to Indian conditions, a precision torque wrench for correct installation, and a high-performance cassette matched to your riding terrain — essential for Ghat climbs around Lonavala or Ooty.
