Carbon Paste

Carbon fibre components demand careful handling during assembly and maintenance. Whether you're fitting a carbon seatpost, stem, or handlebar, the wrong approach can mean creaking, slipping, or permanent damage. Motorex Carbon Paste is a specialised assembly compound designed to create controlled grip between carbon surfaces without over-torquing — a must-have for any rider running carbon contact points in India's demanding conditions.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

India's heat and humidity make carbon assembly tricky. In Pune and Chennai, where temperatures routinely cross 35°C, carbon seatposts can slip under load if assembled incorrectly. Motorex Carbon Paste gives just enough friction to let you torque fittings correctly and confidently — protecting expensive carbon components from damage. For riders doing the Western Ghats or Ooty climbs where saddle position is critical, this paste is not optional; it's essential workshop kit.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Carbon Paste is a consumable product, not a sized item. However, if you're using it on a seatpost or stem, ensure you know your exact clamp bore diameter and seatpost diameter before assembly. Indian riders running aftermarket carbon parts sourced from multiple brands should double-check tolerances, as small mismatches are common and the paste will not compensate for poor component fitment.

Compatibility Notes

Motorex Carbon Paste is suitable for carbon-to-carbon and carbon-to-aluminium interfaces — seatposts, stems, handlebar clamps, and fork steerers. It is not a thread compound and should not replace anti-seize grease on metal threads. Store away from direct sunlight and heat above 40°C. Keep the lid sealed between uses to prevent drying.

Pairs Well With

Round out your workshop setup by pairing Motorex Carbon Paste with a quality torque wrench for precise tightening, carbon-safe frame protection film, a bicycle workstand for steady assembly, and a dedicated carbon-compatible degreaser for cleaning contact surfaces before application.
