Carbon Wheel RIM Brake Pads

Carbon rim brake pads are a precision consumable that directly determines stopping confidence — whether you're threading through Chennai's busy streets, descending Khandala in the monsoon, or pushing hard on a Pune group ride. The Parcours Carbon Wheel Rim Brake Pads are specifically engineered for carbon rim surfaces, delivering consistent modulation and heat management where it counts most.

Use Cases

Daily training. Durable rim and reliable hub bearings for repeat training use.

Race day. Aerodynamic depth and weight-optimised construction for competitive efforts.

All-rounder. Versatile depth and width for road, gravel, or all-road riding.

Our Take

Riders running carbon-rimmed wheels in India face a real challenge: heat buildup on long Western Ghats descents and wet monsoon roads can overwhelm the wrong pad compound quickly. Parcours has designed these pads for carbon rim surfaces, offering the kind of controlled, progressive braking feel that builds confidence on technical descents. For anyone running premium carbon wheels, pairing them with the correct compound pad isn't optional — it's essential safety.

Sizing for Indian Riders

These pads are designed for rim brake calipers — confirm your brake is a caliper or dual-pivot rim brake type before ordering. Standard pad slot dimensions apply across most road caliper systems, but check your caliper's pad cartridge format (threaded or smooth post) against the Parcours specification. No European-to-Indian size conversion needed; verify mechanical fit instead.

Compatibility Notes

Strictly for use with carbon rim brake tracks — do not fit these pads to alloy rims, as the compound is tuned for carbon surfaces and performance on alloy will be unpredictable. Compatible with standard road caliper systems using cartridge-style pad holders. Inspect pads regularly for embedded grit, especially after monsoon riding in Ooty, Coorg, or Leh conditions where road debris varies widely.

Pairs Well With

Complete your braking setup with quality rim brake calipers, carbon-compatible rim brake levers, brake cables and housing, and a torque wrench for safe caliper installation. If your wheels are an upgrade, consider bar tape that complements your build aesthetics.
