Carry Cage

The Restrap Carry Cage is a focused piece of bikepacking and touring hardware built for cyclists who want to carry more without compromising their ride. Whether you're heading out on a multi-day route through Coorg, a weekend gravel loop near Lonavala, or a loaded commute across Chennai or Hyderabad, this cage gives your frame real carrying capacity.

Use Cases

Standard road bikes. Universal-fit cages for most road and gravel frames.

Compact frames. Side-load options for compact Indian-sized frames where clearance is tight.

Race day. Lightweight construction for competitive setups and weight-conscious builds.

Our Take

Restrap has earned a strong reputation in the bikepacking world by making gear that actually holds up. The Carry Cage brings that same thinking to frame storage — giving Indian riders a practical, durable way to carry a dry bag or bottle on the frame without a traditional cage setup. For riders exploring the Western Ghats or loading up for Leh-Manali runs, this is a genuinely useful addition to any touring or adventure bike.

Sizing for Indian Riders

The Carry Cage attaches via straps rather than bottle boss threads, so it fits a wide range of frame shapes and tube profiles common on Indian bikes. Check your frame tube diameter before ordering. Riders using steel or aluminium touring frames will find fitment especially straightforward. Contact Cobbled Climbs if you're unsure about compatibility with your specific frame geometry.

Compatibility Notes

The Carry Cage uses strap-based attachment and does not require bottle cage bosses, making it broadly compatible with most road, gravel, and mountain bike frames. It works with standard dry bags and roll-top sacks. Avoid prolonged exposure to monsoon mud without cleaning — rinse straps after wet rides to maintain strap integrity.

Pairs Well With

Consider pairing the Carry Cage with a bikepacking frame bag or top tube bag for expanded storage, a set of dry bags sized for Indian touring conditions, and a handlebar roll bag to complete a full bikepacking setup. A multi-tool and mini pump round out any adventure kit.
