Center Lock DISC Brake Adapter

Upgrading to disc brakes or switching wheel standards shouldn't mean replacing your entire rotor setup. The Alligator Center Lock DISC Brake Adapter bridges the gap between Center Lock hubs and 6-bolt rotors, giving Indian riders a cost-effective, precision-engineered solution for mixed-standard builds on city commutes, Pune weekend rides, or Western Ghats climbs.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

For Indian cyclists building or converting disc brake wheelsets, this adapter from Alligator is a straightforward, well-made solution. Whether you're running a newer Center Lock hub with an older 6-bolt rotor or vice versa, it removes the need to buy a new wheel entirely. At Rs. 1,490 with free delivery above Rs. 2,500, it's a sensible purchase for riders in Hyderabad, Chennai, or Delhi managing mixed-standard drivetrains on a budget.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is a universal adapter component rather than a sized item — no body measurements needed. However, verify your hub's Center Lock interface and your rotor's bolt pattern before ordering. Indian riders running aftermarket or budget hubs should double-check thread compatibility, as tolerance variances in non-OEM parts can occasionally affect fitment.

Compatibility Notes

Designed for use with Center Lock hubs and standard 6-bolt disc rotors. Requires a Center Lock lockring tool for installation. Compatible with most road and mountain disc brake standards. Not suitable for non-disc or rim brake setups. Install with appropriate torque to avoid damage to the hub shell.

Pairs Well With

Complete your disc brake setup with a quality disc rotor in your preferred size, a Center Lock lockring tool, disc brake pads matched to your calliper brand, and a torque wrench for precise installation. Browse all compatible components at Cobbled Climbs.
