Ceramic Bottom Bracket for SRAM Dub Ita Bb29

The Token Ceramic Bottom Bracket for SRAM DUB ITA BB29 brings precision ceramic bearing technology to Italian-threaded frames. Designed for riders who demand lower rolling resistance and extended service intervals, this bottom bracket suits everything from dusty Pune training rides to long climbs through the Western Ghats, where drivetrain efficiency genuinely matters.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable construction for repeat use.

Race day. Lightweight, stiff design for power transfer and aerodynamics.

Fit adjustment. Right stem length critical for comfortable bike fit.

Our Take

Ceramic bearings spin with noticeably less friction than standard steel units — a real advantage on sustained climbs around Lonavala, Khandala, or Coorg where every watt counts. India's heat, humidity, and monsoon-laden roads accelerate bearing wear in budget units. Token's ceramic construction resists corrosion and retains smooth rotation longer, making this a sensible long-term investment for serious riders rather than a luxury upgrade.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This bottom bracket is specifically designed for Italian-threaded (ITA) frames with the BB29 standard, paired with SRAM DUB cranksets. Before purchasing, confirm your frame's bottom bracket shell threading — Italian and BSA threads are not interchangeable. If you are unsure, measure the shell diameter or consult a mechanic. This is not a sizing concern but a compatibility one; there is no fit variation by rider body size.

Compatibility Notes

Designed exclusively for SRAM DUB crankset systems in Italian-threaded (ITA) bottom bracket shells. Not compatible with Shimano, Campagnolo, or other spindle standards. Works with SRAM DUB road and gravel groupsets. Thread installation requires a bottom bracket cup tool; professional fitting is recommended for first-time installs. Grease the threads lightly before installation to prevent corrosion in humid Indian conditions.

Pairs Well With

Complete your drivetrain build by pairing this bottom bracket with a SRAM DUB-compatible crankset, a quality chain suited to your groupset speed, a wet-condition chain lubricant for monsoon riding, and a torque wrench for precise installation. Browse all drivetrain components at Cobbled Climbs.
