Chain Keeper

When you're mid-ride on a Pune–Lonavala climb or deep into a Coorg weekend loop, a dropped chain with no way to hold the drivetrain in place can end your ride. The Birzman Chain Keeper is a compact, purpose-built tool that holds your chain in position during wheel removal or drivetrain servicing — making trailside and workshop repairs faster, cleaner, and far less frustrating. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Time in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Durable chain construction for repeat training use.

Race day. Optimised chain for clean shifting and minimal drivetrain friction.

Replacement intervals. Replace at chain stretch to protect cassette and chainring wear.

Our Take

Indian roads dish out punishment — potholes, loose gravel, sudden descents — and drivetrain wear is real. The Birzman Chain Keeper earns its place in any rider's toolkit by making wheel swaps and cassette changes genuinely simple. Whether you're doing a quick mid-ride fix on a Hyderabad training loop or servicing your bike at home after a Chennai coastal session, this small tool saves time and keeps grease off your frame. Well worth Rs. 1,095.

Sizing for Indian Riders

The Chain Keeper is a tool, not an apparel item, so traditional sizing does not apply. However, confirm compatibility with your drivetrain speed (road or MTB) before ordering. Birzman tools are designed to current cycling standards and work across most modern drivetrains. If you ride an older or non-standard setup, contact Cobbled Climbs for a quick compatibility check before purchasing.

Compatibility Notes

The Birzman Chain Keeper is compatible with standard road and mountain bike drivetrains. It slots into the rear dropout to hold chain tension during rear wheel removal. Verify it suits your dropout style — quick-release or thru-axle variants may differ. All Birzman products at Cobbled Climbs are 100% genuine and authorised.

Pairs Well With

For a complete ride-ready toolkit, pair this with a quality multi-tool featuring a chain breaker, a saddle bag to carry your spares, emergency chain quick-links for your drivetrain speed, and a mini pump or CO2 inflator for full roadside confidence on long rides.
