Chain Keeper

The Feedback Sports Chain Keeper is a workshop and field essential for cyclists who want to protect their drivetrain during cleaning, maintenance, or transportation. Whether you're doing a quick chain scrub after a dusty Pune ride or prepping your bike for a Leh expedition, this tool keeps your chain tensioned and your drivetrain components safe from unnecessary stress or damage.

Use Cases

Daily training. Durable chain construction for repeat training use.

Race day. Optimised chain for clean shifting and minimal drivetrain friction.

Replacement intervals. Replace at chain stretch to protect cassette and chainring wear.

Our Take

India's roads — from Chennai's coastal salt air to the red-laterite climbs of Coorg — are tough on drivetrains. Regular cleaning is non-negotiable, and the Feedback Sports Chain Keeper makes that job significantly cleaner and more efficient. It holds chain tension when the rear wheel is removed, preventing the chain from flopping onto your frame or cassette. A small tool that solves a genuinely annoying problem, selected for Indian conditions where maintenance frequency matters.

Sizing for Indian Riders

The Chain Keeper is a tool, not a garment, so standard body sizing does not apply. However, confirm compatibility with your dropout and axle standard — quick-release or thru-axle — before ordering. Most modern road and gravel bikes in India use thru-axle, while older bikes use quick-release. If unsure about your setup, contact Cobbled Climbs for guidance before purchasing.

Compatibility Notes

The Feedback Sports Chain Keeper is designed to fit standard dropout widths common on road, gravel, and mountain bikes. Verify whether your bike uses a quick-release or thru-axle dropout before ordering, as this determines the correct variant. Works across single-ring and multi-ring drivetrains. Not a substitute for a proper chain cleaning device — pair with a chain cleaner for best results.

Pairs Well With

For a complete home workshop setup, consider pairing the Chain Keeper with a chain cleaning tool, biodegradable degreaser suited to India's dusty roads, a quality chain lubricant (wet lube for monsoon, dry lube for summer), and a portable bike repair stand for stable maintenance sessions.
