Chain Master

When your chain snaps 40km into a Lonavala morning ride or mid-climb on the Western Ghats, a dedicated chain tool is not optional — it is the difference between riding home and waiting for a pickup. The IceToolz Chain Master is a precision-built chain tool designed for riders who take roadside repair seriously, whether that is daily training around Pune, bikepacking through Coorg, or weekend grinding out of Chennai. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Form in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Durable chain construction for repeat training use.

Race day. Optimised chain for clean shifting and minimal drivetrain friction.

Replacement intervals. Replace at chain stretch to protect cassette and chainring wear.

Our Take

The IceToolz Chain Master earns its place in any Indian rider's saddle bag. Chain failures on rough Indian roads — broken tarmac, monsoon debris, and the mechanical stress of long climbs — are more common than riders expect. This tool handles chain breaking and pressing with satisfying precision, and its compact form means it adds very little to your carry weight. For the price, it is one of the most practical investments a drivetrain-conscious rider can make at Rs. 750.

Sizing for Indian Riders

The Chain Master is a hand tool, so sizing in the traditional apparel sense does not apply. What matters is chain compatibility — verify that your chain speed (8, 9, 10, 11, or 12-speed) is supported before ordering. If you are unsure which chain standard your drivetrain uses, contact Cobbled Climbs and our team will confirm compatibility based on your groupset details.

Compatibility Notes

The IceToolz Chain Master is designed for use with standard bicycle drive chains across multiple speeds. Confirm your chain's speed rating before use. The tool is not a substitute for a quality quick-link, and Cobbled Climbs recommends carrying spare master links alongside this tool. All IceToolz products sold at Cobbled Climbs are 100% genuine and authorised.

Pairs Well With

Complete your field-repair kit with spare quick-links or master links for your chain speed, a compact multi-tool with hex keys and screwdrivers, a saddle bag large enough to carry your full emergency kit, and a chain lubricant suited to Indian conditions — wet lube for monsoon season, dry lube for summer.
