Core 2 Womens Road Cycling Shoes

The Northwave Core 2 Women's Road Cycling Shoes are built for riders who want genuine power transfer and all-day comfort on the bike. Whether you're grinding up the Western Ghats outside Pune, logging early-morning kilometres in Chennai, or tackling weekend rides near Hyderabad, these shoes deliver a secure, ventilated fit that makes a real difference when temperatures climb past 35°C. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Look in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Stiff sole and breathable upper for repeated training in Indian heat and humidity.

Race day. Power transfer and snug retention for competitive efforts.

Indoor training. Compatible with indoor trainer cleats for structured Zwift, TrainerRoad, or Wahoo SYSTM workouts.

Our Take

For Indian women cyclists, the Core 2 strikes a sensible balance between performance and everyday usability. The stiff sole channels pedalling effort efficiently, which matters on longer climbs around Lonavala or Coorg. Crucially, the ventilation design helps keep feet cooler in India's punishing summer heat — something European reviews routinely underplay. At Rs. 11,500 with free delivery above Rs. 2,500 and COD available, this represents solid value for riders stepping up their road setup.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Northwave sizing follows EU standards and generally runs true to size. Indian riders with wider forefeet — common among those who've grown up in open footwear — should consider going up half a size. Always try with cycling-specific socks. Heel slip means the shoe is too large; toe pinching means too small. Insole swaps can fine-tune fit further in humid conditions.

Compatibility Notes

The Core 2 uses a 3-bolt cleat pattern compatible with SPD-SL and Look-style pedal systems — cleats are sold separately, so confirm your pedal standard before ordering. Third-party insoles are accepted for fit refinement. Wipe down the closure system and sole regularly, especially after monsoon rides, to prevent grit build-up and closure wear.

Pairs Well With

Complete your cycling footwear setup with compatible road pedals and cleats, moisture-wicking performance cycling socks for hot-weather comfort, lightweight shoe covers for monsoon protection, and a proper bike fit session to optimise cleat position and saddle height together.
