Core 5 Inch Compression Shorts

The 2XU Core 5 Inch Compression Shorts are built for runners, triathletes, and multi-sport athletes who need reliable muscle support across demanding sessions. Whether you're training through Chennai's coastal humidity, grinding intervals in Pune's heat, or pushing through a triathlon brick session, these shorts offer compressive coverage and moisture management where it counts most.

Use Cases

Daily training. Padded chamois and supportive bib straps for repeated 2-3 hour training rides in Indian conditions.

Race day. Race-fit compression and aerodynamic cut for timed events and group rides.

Long endurance rides. Premium chamois and durable Lycra for full-day comfort on rides exceeding four hours.

Our Take

For Indian athletes training in 35°C+ conditions, the 2XU Core 5 Inch Compression Shorts deliver genuine muscle support without trapping heat. The high-rise waist and body-contouring fit suit female runners tackling everything from morning Hyderabad road loops to competitive triathlon. Compressive synthetic fabric at this price point — just over Rs. 2,100 — makes these an accessible entry into 2XU's performance range, and they arrive with free delivery above Rs. 2,500 when bundled.

Sizing for Indian Riders

2XU uses international sizing that runs true to a fitted, compressive standard. Indian women with fuller thighs relative to their waist should size up for comfortable compression. Measure both waist and mid-thigh circumference before ordering. In high-heat conditions across Ahmedabad or Delhi summers, a slightly roomier fit aids airflow without sacrificing support. Check the 2XU size chart before placing your order.

Compatibility Notes

Designed for running, cycling, and triathlon use. The above-the-knee length works across disciplines without restricting stride or pedal rotation. Machine wash on a gentle cool cycle; hang dry to preserve compression fabric integrity and elasticity. Avoid fabric softeners, which degrade compressive yarns over time.

Pairs Well With

Complete your training kit with a moisture-wicking performance top from the same brand, compression calf sleeves for added recovery support, a quality sports bra for high-intensity sessions, and a running cap to manage India's direct sun exposure on outdoor training routes.
