Cr1620 Lithium Battery

A dead battery is all it takes to lose your ride data mid-climb. The Cateye CR1620 Lithium Battery is the replacement cell that keeps your Cateye cycling computer running through Pune's Sinhagad ascents, Chennai's coastal flats, and every monsoon-soaked training block in between. Small in size, essential in function — this is the spare every Cateye user should keep in their kit bag. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Form in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

At Rs. 190, this is one of the smartest items to keep stocked. Cateye computers are widely used across India — from daily commuters in Delhi to weekend warriors tackling Lonavala and Khandala — and a flat battery at the wrong moment means lost segments and missed data. Lithium chemistry handles India's heat well, resisting the performance drop that standard cells show in 35°C+ conditions. Buy two and always have a spare.

Sizing for Indian Riders

The CR1620 is a coin cell battery with a fixed form factor — there is no sizing to consider. Simply confirm your Cateye computer model accepts a CR1620 cell (not CR2032 or CR2025) before ordering. Check the battery compartment label or your computer's user manual to verify the correct cell type.

Compatibility Notes

The CR1620 is compatible with select Cateye cycling computers that specify this cell type. It is not interchangeable with CR2032 or CR2025 batteries. Handle with care — avoid short-circuiting the terminals. Store unused cells away from direct sunlight and heat, particularly important during Indian summers. All Cateye products at Cobbled Climbs are 100% genuine and authorised.

Pairs Well With

Pick up a Cateye cycling computer to pair with this battery, along with a speed or cadence sensor for complete data capture. A handlebar mount and a waterproof cycling bag are also worth adding — especially if you ride through the monsoon season in cities like Kolkata or Mumbai.
