Crono Cx Frp Bottle Kit

On a four-hour climb through the Western Ghats or a hot summer morning loop out of Pune, hydration is not optional — it is the ride. The Elite Crono CX FRP Bottle Kit pairs a fibre-reinforced polymer cage with a matched bottle, giving you a purpose-built hydration solution designed for the demands of performance road cycling. At Rs. 2,490, it sits just under the free-delivery threshold, so consider adding a companion item to qualify.

Use Cases

Daily training. On-bike hydration for road, gravel, or MTB training rides.

Long climbs. Reliable cage-compatible design for Western Ghats, Nilgiris, or Sahyadri climbs.

Race day. Quick-access valve and frame-cage compatibility for competitive efforts.

Our Take

The Crono CX FRP cage is a favourite among riders who want Italian engineering without unnecessary weight. FRP construction keeps the cage stiff enough to hold a bottle securely over Hyderabad's broken tarmac or the switchbacks above Khandala, yet light enough to not penalise you on climbs. The matched bottle integrates cleanly into the cage opening, reducing the fumble factor when pulling water at speed in 38°C Chennai summer heat. A genuinely practical kit selected for Indian conditions.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is a bottle cage and bottle kit, so standard clothing sizing does not apply. The cage fits most round-section bottle cage mounts on road, gravel, and endurance bikes. The included bottle is sized for standard cage compatibility — verify your frame's bottle boss spacing before ordering. Riders with compact or small-frame geometries should confirm clearance between the cage and the down tube.

Compatibility Notes

The Elite Crono CX FRP cage is designed for standard dual-bolt bottle cage mounts. It is compatible with road, gravel, and cyclocross frames. The FRP material resists moisture well — a plus during monsoon riding in Kolkata or coastal Chennai. Hand wash the bottle with a brush and mild detergent; air dry inverted to prevent mildew build-up in humid conditions.

Pairs Well With

Complete your hydration setup with an insulated cycling bottle for long summer rides, electrolyte powder or tabs for rides over two hours, a saddle bag for carrying nutrition, and a second cage and bottle for the down tube. A full hydration system matters most on back-to-back Coorg or Ooty touring days.
