Derailleur Hanger for Giant

The Pilo D1131 is a precision-machined derailleur hanger designed as a direct replacement for compatible Giant frames. A derailleur hanger is the small sacrificial component that sits between your frame's dropout and the rear derailleur — it is designed to bend or break under impact, protecting your far more expensive frame and derailleur from crash damage. Keeping a spare on hand is simply good practice for any serious rider.

Our Take

India's roads demand this. From the broken tarmac of Delhi's outer ring roads to the sharp stones along Lonavala and Khandala descents, accidental derailleur strikes are a real risk. The Pilo D1131 is CNC-machined from high-grade aluminium alloy for a precise, wobble-free fit on compatible Giant frames. At under Rs. 5,000, replacing this hanger after a minor crash — rather than a frame or derailleur — is exactly the kind of smart, low-cost protection every Giant rider should have in their kit bag.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Derailleur hangers are frame-specific, not rider-specific — sizing here means selecting the correct model number for your Giant frame. The D1131 fits specific Giant models; confirm compatibility against your frame's model year before ordering. If you are unsure, note your Giant frame model and year and contact the Cobbled Climbs team for guidance before placing your order.

Compatibility Notes

The Pilo D1131 is compatible with specific Giant bicycle frames — verify your exact frame model and year before purchase. It works across Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo rear derailleur fitments that use a standard M10 derailleur bolt. Store away from direct moisture exposure; during monsoon months in Mumbai, Chennai, or Kolkata, keep your spare in a sealed zip-lock bag to prevent oxidation.

Pairs Well With

Keep your drivetrain protected and ready to ride: pair this hanger with a rear derailleur from the Shimano or SRAM range, a chain checker tool for regular drivetrain maintenance, a quality chain lubricant suited to Indian conditions, and a compact multi-tool for roadside repairs.
