Dctech T47 Internal Ceramic Shimano Bottom Bracket

The Bikone Dctech T47 Internal Ceramic Shimano Bottom Bracket is a precision-engineered component built for riders who demand smooth, quiet power transfer across every condition. Designed around the T47 threaded standard with internal ceramic bearings, it suits road cyclists tackling the Western Ghats, Ooty climbs, or the punishing dust and monsoon humidity of Indian roads year-round.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable construction for repeat use.

Race day. Lightweight, stiff design for power transfer and aerodynamics.

Fit adjustment. Right stem length critical for comfortable bike fit.

Our Take

At Rs. 20,000, this is a serious upgrade for riders who have already optimised their frame and groupset but still feel drag at the pedalling interface. Ceramic bearings spin with noticeably less friction than steel, a real advantage on long climbs around Lonavala or Khandala where every saved watt counts. The T47 threaded installation also means far less creaking than press-fit alternatives — a persistent problem in India's heat and humidity cycles.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Bottom brackets do not come in rider sizes, but fitment is critical. The T47 standard is threaded into the frame shell, so confirm your frame uses a T47 shell before ordering. This unit is specifically built for Shimano cranks — verify your crankset brand and axle diameter match. If you are running a mixed build or an older frame, check your shell standard carefully before purchasing.

Compatibility Notes

This bottom bracket is compatible with Shimano cranksets designed for internal-style bottom brackets. It uses the T47 threaded shell standard — do not attempt to fit it into BB86, PF30, or BSA threaded frames. Ceramic bearings benefit from periodic regreasing, particularly after monsoon riding in Chennai, Kolkata, or coastal areas where humidity and salt air are high.

Pairs Well With

For the best overall drivetrain experience, consider pairing this bottom bracket with a Shimano crankset from our drivetrain range, a quality ceramic-compatible bearing grease, a precision torque wrench for correct installation, and a chain wear indicator tool to protect your downstream components.
