Dimension R2

The Prologo Dimension R2 is a performance-oriented road saddle built for riders who spend serious hours in the saddle — whether that's grinding Western Ghats climbs out of Pune, logging early-morning kilometres on Delhi's Ring Road, or tackling a brevet through the Deccan plateau. Getting saddle choice right changes everything about how a ride ends.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

The Dimension R2 sits in Prologo's performance-focused lineup, designed for riders who want a balance between power transfer and long-ride comfort. In India's 38°C+ summer heat, a saddle's shell construction and cover material matter as much as shape. The Dimension R2's performance geometry suits riders with an aggressive-to-moderate position, making it a solid choice for weekend warriors and competitive club riders in Hyderabad, Chennai, and Bangalore alike.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Prologo saddles typically come in multiple width options aligned to sit-bone measurements. Indian riders generally fall in the 130–155mm sit-bone range. Measure by sitting on cardboard, marking the dimples, and adding approximately 25mm. In high-humidity conditions — Mumbai monsoon season, coastal Kochi rides — a slightly wider fit can prevent uncomfortable pressure shifts during sweaty long efforts.

Compatibility Notes

The Dimension R2 fits standard seatpost rail clamps. Match your seatpost diameter to your frame (commonly 27.2mm, 30.9mm, or 31.6mm). If your seatpost uses a carbon rail clamp, follow manufacturer torque specifications carefully. Clean rails periodically — Indian road grit and monsoon mud accelerate corrosion on unprotected metal contact points.

Pairs Well With

Complete your contact-point setup with quality padded bib shorts for long Leh-Manali or Ooty rides, a setback or inline seatpost suited to your frame geometry, chamois cream for hot-weather efforts, and a lightweight saddle bag for essentials. Each of these categories is stocked at Cobbled Climbs.
