Direto Xr T Electromagnetic Direct Drive Smart Trainer

Indian monsoons shut down outdoor riding for months, and summer heat above 35°C makes road training dangerous in cities like Pune, Delhi, Chennai, and Hyderabad. The Elite Direto Xr T is a direct-drive smart trainer built for structured indoor training — delivering accurate power data, app connectivity, and noise levels that won't disturb neighbours in a Mumbai or Bengaluru apartment block.

Use Cases

Indoor training. Structured workouts via Zwift, TrainerRoad, or Wahoo SYSTM.

Race day prep. Smart-trainer simulation of race-day power demands.

Year-round training. Indoor riding through Indian monsoon, peak heat, and pollution-heavy days.

Our Take

For serious Indian cyclists who train through monsoon and summer, the Direto Xr T is a compelling choice. Direct-drive design eliminates tyre wear and reduces noise significantly compared to wheel-on alternatives. Power accuracy makes every TrainerRoad or Zwift session count. In a country where outdoor riding windows are often limited by weather, traffic, or air quality, a trainer at this level pays for itself quickly — especially for riders preparing for events like the Lonavala hill climbs or Ooty road races.

Sizing for Indian Riders

The Direto Xr T is a trainer, not a garment — sizing here refers to bike compatibility. Verify your bike's axle standard (quick-release or thru-axle) and drivetrain speed before ordering. A separate cassette matching your groupset's speed is required and sold independently. Riders running 10, 11, or 12-speed drivetrains should confirm cassette compatibility with Cobbled Climbs before purchase.

Compatibility Notes

The Direto Xr T connects via ANT+ FE-C and Bluetooth Smart, making it compatible with Zwift, TrainerRoad, Rouvy, and the Elite MyEtraining app. A matching cassette (sold separately) is required — confirm your drivetrain speed. Supports both quick-release and thru-axle setups with appropriate adapters. All Elite products at Cobbled Climbs are 100% genuine and authorised.

Pairs Well With

Complete your indoor training setup with a high-density trainer mat to protect floors and reduce vibration noise, a frame-mounted sweat guard to prevent corrosion during long sessions, a powerful desk or tower fan for airflow, and a compatible cassette matching your road or gravel drivetrain speed.
