DISC Brake Pads Organic Code

Organic brake pad compounds offer a distinct feel on the bike — progressive modulation and quiet operation that suits everything from Chennai city commutes to steep Lonavala descents. The Avid DISC Brake Pads Organic Code are designed specifically for Avid Code callipers, delivering consistent stopping power whether roads are bone dry at 38°C or slick with monsoon rain. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Rotor in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable use across Indian training conditions — heat, humidity, and rough tarmac.

Race day. Performance-grade construction for competitive efforts.

Long rides. Built for full-day rides across Western Ghats, Sahyadri, or Nilgiri climbs.

Our Take

For riders tackling the Western Ghats or navigating Pune's unpredictable traffic, organic compound pads provide the progressive bite feel that builds rider confidence. They run quieter than sintered alternatives and are gentler on rotors, making them a practical everyday choice. In India's mixed conditions — dusty dry months followed by heavy monsoon — organic pads offer reliable modulation without the harshness that metallic compounds can introduce.

Sizing for Indian Riders

These pads are designed specifically for Avid Code callipers — not a universal fit. Before ordering, confirm your calliper model. Sizing here is about compatibility, not clothing fit: verify your rotor diameter (140, 160, or 180mm) matches your frame and fork specifications. In India's heat, proper pad seating at installation prevents uneven wear and squealing on summer rides.

Compatibility Notes

Compatible exclusively with Avid Code calliper systems. Organic compound pads work best with steel rotors; avoid pairing with incompatible rotor materials. Store away from oil and brake fluid contamination — even a small amount ruins pad compound. For hydraulic systems using DOT fluid, inspect seals annually, especially after monsoon season when moisture ingress accelerates seal degradation.

Pairs Well With

Complete your braking system with compatible disc brake rotors in your required diameter, a quality bleed kit with DOT fluid for annual maintenance, a torque wrench for safe calliper installation, and rim tape or tyre levers if you are servicing the bike at the same time.
