DLC 11 Speed Chain

The KMC DLC 11 Speed Chain brings diamond-like carbon coating technology to your 11-speed drivetrain, offering reduced friction and extended service life — particularly valuable in India's demanding riding environment where dust, monsoon humidity, and heat above 35°C accelerate wear on uncoated chains. A sound investment for serious riders from the Ghats to the plains. Cobbled Climbs is the exclusive Indian distributor for Campagnolo in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Durable chain construction for repeat training use.

Race day. Optimised chain for clean shifting and minimal drivetrain friction.

Replacement intervals. Replace at chain stretch to protect cassette and chainring wear.

Our Take

For Indian riders logging miles on the climbs above Lonavala, Ooty's switchbacks, or the long training loops outside Pune and Hyderabad, chain wear is a real cost. The KMC DLC coating measurably reduces friction and corrosion compared to standard chains. In monsoon conditions, where a cheap chain can degrade in weeks, the DLC treatment earns its price in longer service intervals and sharper shifting through every kilometre.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is an 11-speed chain — confirm your groupset is 11-speed before ordering. It is not a European-to-Indian sizing question; it is a drivetrain-speed match. Count the sprockets on your cassette. KMC DLC chains are compatible with Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo 11-speed systems. Mixed-brand setups generally work well — verify your chainline and speed count are correct.

Compatibility Notes

Compatible with all major 11-speed groupsets: Shimano 105, Ultegra, Dura-Ace; SRAM Rival, Force, Red; Campagnolo Potenza, Chorus, Super Record. Replace using a quality chain tool or the supplied quick-link if included. Monitor wear with a chain checker; replace at 0.5–0.75% stretch to protect your cassette and chainrings. Clean weekly during monsoon season.

Pairs Well With

Complete the drivetrain refresh with a compatible 11-speed cassette, a wet-condition chain lubricant suited for Indian monsoon riding, a chain wear checker tool for timely replacement, and a quick-link master link pack for easy field repairs on long rides.
