Double Shot 1 Clipless Pedal

The Crank Brothers Double Shot 1 Clipless Pedal is a dual-sided entry into the brand's distinctive egg-beater-style cleat system, offering four-sided entry for quick clip-in on demanding terrain. At Rs. 5,700, it brings reliable engagement and walkable convenience to riders across road, gravel, and light trail use in India's varied conditions — from Pune's highway commutes to the switchbacks above Ooty.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable cleat retention and bearing durability for repeat training use.

Race day. Lightweight design and clean release for competitive efforts.

Indoor training. Smooth float and compatibility with indoor trainer setups.

Our Take

For Indian riders battling 35°C+ heat on the Western Ghats or navigating Bengaluru's stop-start traffic, the Double Shot 1's four-sided engagement means less fumbling and more focus on the road. The dual-platform design also lets you ride unclipped on short flat sections — genuinely useful in dense city traffic in Hyderabad or Chennai. A dependable, accessible first step into the Crank Brothers cleat ecosystem.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Pedals are one-size hardware, but cleat float matters more in India's heat — swollen feet and fatigue on long Coorg or Leh rides increase knee stress. If you're new to clipless, choose the higher-float cleat option for greater knee comfort. Confirm your cycling shoes use the 2-bolt SPD-compatible mount that pairs with the Crank Brothers cleat pattern.

Compatibility Notes

The Double Shot 1 uses Crank Brothers' own cleat system — ensure your shoes have a 2-bolt SPD-compatible mounting pattern. The pedal axle is standard 9/16-inch thread, fitting virtually all crank arms. Clean cleat engagement grooves periodically, especially after monsoon rides, as grit and mud can reduce retention reliability.

Pairs Well With

Complete your setup with clipless-compatible cycling shoes (2-bolt SPD-style mount), a set of replacement Crank Brothers cleats, a quality pedal wrench, and cycling-specific socks for long-distance comfort. Available with free delivery on orders above Rs. 2,500 and cash on delivery across India.
