Double Shot 2 Clipless Pedal

The Crank Brothers Double Shot 2 is a dual-entry clipless pedal designed to bridge the gap between road efficiency and gravel versatility. Its dual-sided platform means you clip in from either face — a genuine advantage on technical climbs, chaotic city crossings, or the stop-start rhythm of Indian traffic before you hit open roads. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Look in India.

Use Cases

Daily training. Reliable cleat retention and bearing durability for repeat training use.

Race day. Lightweight design and clean release for competitive efforts.

Indoor training. Smooth float and compatibility with indoor trainer setups.

Our Take

For Indian riders navigating everything from Pune's Sinhagad switchbacks to Chennai's flat coastal rides, the Double Shot 2 earns its place by offering walking-friendly cleat compatibility alongside clipless engagement. The dual-sided entry removes the frustrating pedal-flip moment at busy Hyderabad junctions or Lonavala ascents. It suits riders who want clipped efficiency without sacrificing the ability to step off confidently on uneven surfaces.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Pedals are one-size mechanically — the 9/16-inch axle thread fits virtually all standard cranks. What matters here is cleat compatibility: the Double Shot 2 uses Crank Brothers' own two-bolt cleat system. Confirm your cycling shoes have a two-bolt mounting pattern. In India's 35°C+ heat, slight foot swelling is common on long rides; choose cleats with moderate float to accommodate natural foot movement and protect knees.

Compatibility Notes

Axle thread is the industry-standard 9/16-inch, fitting nearly all crank arms. Works exclusively with Crank Brothers cleats — not compatible with SPD, SPD-SL, or Look systems. Service bearings periodically, especially after monsoon-season riding when grit and moisture accelerate wear. Clean cleat retention springs with compressed air after dusty roads.

Pairs Well With

Complete your contact-point setup with compatible two-bolt cycling shoes, Crank Brothers replacement cleats, a quality pedal wrench for installation, and a bike-specific lubricant to protect the axle threads and springs between services — especially useful through India's monsoon months.
