Dry Weather Ptfe Lube

India's dry season brings its own challenges — fine dust from Delhi's roads, grit on Pune's ring roads, and the baking 35°C+ heat across Hyderabad and Chennai that turns an unlubricated chain into a grinding, wear-accelerating mess. Blub's Dry Weather PTFE Lube is purpose-built for exactly these conditions, using PTFE technology to keep your drivetrain running quietly and efficiently between washes. Cobbled Climbs is the authorised retailer for Time in India.

Use Cases

Wet conditions. Wet lube for monsoon and humid Mumbai, Goa, and Bengaluru riding.

Dry conditions. Dry lube for clean drivetrain in Delhi, Hyderabad summer conditions.

Race day. Low-friction wax-based lubes for competitive efforts.

Our Take

For riders tackling the dry climbs of Lonavala, the flat stretches around Ahmedabad, or the dusty trails outside Chennai, a PTFE-based dry lube is the smart choice. It attracts less grime than wet lubes, meaning your chain stays cleaner for longer. At Rs. 990, this is genuinely affordable chain insurance — extending drivetrain life far beyond what neglect or incorrect lube selection would allow in Indian conditions.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Lubricants require no sizing, but application does matter. In temperatures above 35°C, chains warm up quickly — apply Blub Dry Weather PTFE Lube to a cool chain, ideally in the early morning before a ride. Allow adequate drying time before heading out, as the PTFE carrier needs to evaporate fully for the lube film to bond correctly.

Compatibility Notes

Compatible with all chain speeds and drivetrain brands including Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo. Safe for use on derailleur pivot points and cable ends. Not recommended as a replacement for wet or monsoon-specific lubricants during heavy rain — keep a wet lube on hand for the June–September season. Store away from direct sunlight.

Pairs Well With

Round out your maintenance kit with a chain cleaning device, a quality drivetrain degreaser, a set of detailing brushes for cassette and chainring cleaning, and a bike work stand for easier access. These four additions make a complete dry-season service routine straightforward and effective.
