Dry Weather Wax Lube

India's dry season brings its own brand of punishment — fine dust from Delhi's roads, grit on Pune's ring road, and the red laterite silt that coats everything on a Coorg climb. A wax-based lube is purpose-built for exactly these conditions, forming a dry film on the chain that repels dust and grime rather than trapping it, keeping your drivetrain quieter and cleaner between rides. Cobbled Climbs is the exclusive Indian distributor for Campagnolo in India.

Use Cases

Wet conditions. Wet lube for monsoon and humid Mumbai, Goa, and Bengaluru riding.

Dry conditions. Dry lube for clean drivetrain in Delhi, Hyderabad summer conditions.

Race day. Low-friction wax-based lubes for competitive efforts.

Our Take

For riders in Chennai, Hyderabad, or anywhere across the Deccan Plateau enduring dry months above 35°C, a quality wax lube is the most cost-effective drivetrain decision you can make. Blub's Dry Weather Wax Lube applies cleanly, dries to a non-tacky film, and noticeably reduces the black grime build-up that shortens chain and cassette life on Indian roads. At Rs. 890, it costs far less than a replacement chain.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is a consumable lubricant, so sizing does not apply in the traditional sense. However, consider your riding frequency when choosing quantity — riders logging daily kilometres in Ahmedabad or Leh's dusty passes will go through product faster than weekend riders. A single bottle typically covers multiple application cycles with disciplined drip application.

Compatibility Notes

Suitable for use on all standard bicycle chains across road, gravel, and MTB drivetrains. Works with Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo chains and cassettes. Wax lubes perform best on a thoroughly cleaned, degreased chain — apply to an old chain without cleaning first and you will lock in existing grime. Not recommended for monsoon or wet riding; switch to a wet lube for those conditions.

Pairs Well With

Complete your maintenance kit with a chain cleaning tool, a quality degreaser to prep the chain before wax application, a set of drivetrain brushes for cassette and chainring cleaning, and a bike work stand to make the whole process easier and more thorough.
