Dsp Bartape V2

Bar tape is the most replaced contact point on any road bike, and for Indian riders it earns every rupee. The Lizard Skins DSP Bar Tape V2 brings a purpose-built grip surface to your drops, built to handle the sweat, grit, and vibration that come with riding Indian roads from Pune's cantonment climbs to the switchbacks above Ooty and Lonavala's ghost-lit descents.

Use Cases

Daily training. Comfortable reach and bar shape for repeat training use.

Race day. Aerodynamic profile and compact drop for competitive fit.

Long endurance rides. Multiple hand positions for fatigue management on full-day rides.

Our Take

On India's roads — patched tarmac on NH stretches, monsoon-roughened surfaces in Chennai, or the broken-edged lanes of Delhi's training routes — vibration damping at the bar is not optional. The DSP V2's dual-silicone construction absorbs road buzz without adding bulk or slipping when palms sweat in 35°C+ heat. It is one of the most sensible contact-point investments a road cyclist in India can make, selected for Indian conditions by our buying team based on customer feedback.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Bar tape sizing is about thickness and hand size, not shoulder width. Riders with smaller hands or those who prefer a direct bar feel should choose a thinner wrap; those doing long endurance rides — Hyderabad to Nagarjuna Sagar brevets or all-day Coorg routes — typically benefit from a thicker wrap for fatigue reduction. Standard rolls cover most drop bar lengths with overlap to spare.

Compatibility Notes

The DSP Bar Tape V2 is compatible with standard drop bars across all road, endurance, and gravel handlebar profiles. It works with Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo brake lever hoods. Apply over clean, dry bars; in monsoon season, allow extra drying time before wrapping. Replace the tape if grip deteriorates or adhesive backing lifts — typically every six to twelve months for regular riders.

Pairs Well With

Complete your cockpit with a quality stem matched to your fit, a set of road cycling gloves for additional grip in Ahmedabad's summer heat, a torque wrench for safe installation, and a handlebar bag or mount for your cycling computer. Browse all these categories at Cobbled Climbs.
