End Cap Set for Cognition DB Rear Hubs

The Zipp End Cap Set for Cognition DB Rear Hubs is a precision replacement part designed to keep your Zipp Cognition DB rear hub running correctly. Whether you have damaged end caps, are switching axle standards, or simply need a reliable spare on hand, this set ensures your hub retains proper axle interface and bearing support for continued performance on road, gravel, or mixed terrain.

Use Cases

Under-helmet sweat management. Absorbs forehead sweat in 35°C+ heat across Mumbai, Pune, and Chennai conditions.

Sun protection. Peak shields the eyes and forehead from direct sun on long Indian summer rides.

Style and finish. Completes a coordinated kit for daily rides and group rides.

Our Take

End caps are easy to overlook until something goes wrong — a crashed axle interface or corroded cap can sideline a wheel entirely. In India, where monsoon riding exposes hubs to sustained moisture and grit, keeping genuine Zipp end caps on hand is smart maintenance. This set fits the Cognition DB rear hub specifically, so there is no guesswork about compatibility. At Rs. 6,590, it is far cheaper than hub damage from running a worn or incorrect end cap.

Sizing for Indian Riders

End caps are not sized like apparel — they are selected by axle standard. The Cognition DB hub supports disc brake axle configurations. Confirm your frame's rear thru-axle spec before ordering. Riders on Pune sportive bikes, Delhi gravel setups, or Leh touring rigs should double-check their frame's rear axle standard matches the end cap set included in this kit.

Compatibility Notes

This end cap set is specific to Zipp Cognition DB rear hubs. It is not compatible with non-DB (rim brake) Cognition hubs or other Zipp hub models. Confirm your hub model before purchasing. Installation requires basic tools; take care not to overtighten, as end caps interface directly with precision hub bearings. Clean the axle interface before fitting.

Pairs Well With

To keep your Zipp wheels in full working order, consider pairing this end cap set with a quality hub bearing replacement kit, hub-compatible cassette bodies, a torque wrench for correct installation, and a dedicated bike wash or drivetrain cleaner suitable for disc brake wheelsets.
