Equipe R S9 Mens Cycling Bibshorts

Serious cycling in India demands bib shorts that perform across long Ghat climbs, punishing summer heat, and hours in the saddle. The Assos Equipe R S9 Men's Cycling Bibshorts brings multi-density chamois padding, compressive fabric, and flatlock construction to riders who train hard across Pune, Lonavala, Ooty, and beyond — where comfort over distance is never optional.

Use Cases

Daily training. Padded chamois and supportive bib straps for repeated 2-3 hour training rides in Indian conditions.

Race day. Race-fit compression and aerodynamic cut for timed events and group rides.

Long endurance rides. Premium chamois and durable Lycra for full-day comfort on rides exceeding four hours.

Our Take

At Rs. 16,860, the Equipe R S9 asks you to invest in your contact point — and that investment pays off fast on India's demanding roads. The multi-density chamois holds its shape through four-hour rides in 38°C heat where cheaper bibs fail within weeks. Compressive fabric reduces leg fatigue on back-to-back days, and the silicone leg grippers stay put without cutting circulation during extended Western Ghats climbs. These are bibs built for riders who take their training seriously.

Sizing for Indian Riders

Assos follows European race-fit sizing, which runs close and is designed for leaner European builds. Indian riders who carry more thigh muscle relative to waist should size up without hesitation. Measure both waist and thigh circumference before ordering. In summer heat above 35°C, a slightly relaxed fit improves airflow and ride comfort across long endurance days in Chennai, Hyderabad, or Ahmedabad.

Compatibility Notes

Designed for road and endurance cycling; works with all saddle types and road geometries. Always wear without underwear — underwear disrupts moisture management and increases chafe risk. Machine wash at 30°C with mild detergent and hang dry to preserve chamois foam and leg-gripper elastic. Inspect chamois every six months and replace bibs when padding shows thinning or loss of structure.

Pairs Well With

Round out your kit with a moisture-wicking cycling jersey for heat management, quality cycling socks to complete the race-ready look, a performance-matched saddle for long-distance comfort, and chamois cream for rides beyond 60km in Indian summer conditions.
