EVO 1700sd DI2 Compatible Front Light

The Magicshine EVO 1700sd DI2 Compatible Front Light is built for riders who push out before sunrise or finish after dark — whether navigating Pune's pre-dawn highways, Chennai's dense evening traffic, or the fog-shrouded descents of Ooty. DI2 compatibility adds a layer of integration that serious electronic-groupset riders will genuinely appreciate on longer rides.

Use Cases

Commuting. Visibility for early-morning and evening rides through Indian traffic.

Night training. High-output beam for night rides on unlit Indian roads.

Group rides. See-and-be-seen lighting for low-visibility conditions.

Our Take

India's riding windows are often at the edges of daylight — heat forces early starts in summer, and monsoon cloud cover shortens usable daylight dramatically. The EVO 1700sd's DI2 integration is a practical advantage for riders running Shimano electronic groupsets, allowing coordinated control without extra cockpit clutter. For Leh touring or Western Ghats early-morning climbs above Khandala, a dependable front light with solid output and smart compatibility is not optional — it is essential.

Sizing for Indian Riders

This is a lighting unit, not an apparel item, so sizing refers to handlebar fit rather than body measurements. Verify your handlebar diameter — most road bars run 31.8mm, while older or entry-level bikes may use 25.4mm. If you ride an aero-profile bar, check mount compatibility before ordering. Contact Cobbled Climbs for confirmation if your setup is non-standard.

Compatibility Notes

Designed to integrate with Shimano Di2 electronic groupset systems, making it well suited to road, hybrid, mountain, and e-bike setups running electronic shifting. Confirm your handlebar diameter and bar profile before mounting. Available in Black and White colourways. Shipped from Mumbai — all Magicshine products at Cobbled Climbs are 100% genuine and authorised.

Pairs Well With

Complete your visibility setup with a matched rear light for front-and-rear coverage, a secondary helmet-mount light for flexible beam direction, a handlebar bag or top-tube pack for multi-day touring storage, and a quality USB charging cable for reliable top-ups between rides.
